Impact on Manufacturing
- All of Blinc's assemblers and raw material suppliers are operational,
- Blinc currently has over 1 million finished products and over 34 million sub-components in production
- Material testing labs still experiencing delays
- Some delays in prototyping and in-person inspections
- Chinese government requesting that some raw material manufacturers produce only for medical equipment
Impact on Shipping
- Air freight costs have increased by 100% from China to Europe and the U.S., and 200% to Southeast Asia. Since most air cargo space is now taken up by medical supplies, especially after massive cuts in cargo capacity from canceled passenger flights
- New policies like stronger testing and potential flight crew quarantines in government hospitals in China are disrupting U.S. cargo flights.
